Global Positioning System
Equipped with the latest GPS satellite positioning equipment, J.W. Austin Associates employs this technology to complete your project in the most efficient and precise manner possible.

In 1994, Mr. Austin was the first surveyor in the lakeland area to become exposed to the benefits of surveying with GPS and has been sucessfully using the technology since that time. Our many years of GPS experience allows us to reliably implement this equipment in less than ideal conditions.

J.W. Austin Associates has surveyed in excess of 500 Public Land Survey System corners with this technology in support of county remonumentation and parcel mapping programs.

State Authority Surveying Services
Licensed in Wisconsin since 1986, Mr. Austin has been involved in all aspects of state authority surveys including:

With his expertise centered on the Public Land Survey System, Mr. Austin provides consulting services to other surveyors and the legal profession.

Federal Authority Surveying Services
With considerable experience working in the Public Land Survey System, Mr. Austin was selected as one of the "beta test group" of the Certified Federal Surveyor program and was awarded certificate no. 1012 upon successful completion of the program in May of 2007.

This certification leaves us qualified to survey federal interest lands of the US Forest Service, US Fish and Wildlfie Service and lands held in trust for Native Americans.

WSLS Annual Institute

Continuing a tradition that has spanned the last 24 years, our office will be closed January 24-27 allowing us to attend the Surveyor's Institute in Wisconsin Dells.

Lynne Project

Now that the Wisconsin deer hunt has come to an end, we hope to complete some work in the Town of Lynne prior to our first snowstorm!
