Jeffrey W. Austin, Principal Surveyor Accreditations: Member in good standing: |
As a recognized expert in the recovery and perpetuation of the Public Land Survey System, in 2006 Mr. Austin was invited by the Bureau of Land Management to participate in the "beta test group" of the Certified Federal Surveyor program. The program was conceived to enhance the level of knowledge and expertise in the professional land surveying community for work performed on or near federal interest lands.
Since 2007, Mr. Austin has participated in the "GLO Recovery Workshop" sponsored by Michigan Technological University, the US Forest Service and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. The workshop exposes students, technicians, and land surveyors to the proper techniques of recovering evidence of the General Land Office surveys.
With most of our projects in the Wisconsin counties of Oneida, Vilas, Price and Iron, and within the Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation, we have developed methods and employed technology that allows us to work efficiently in the sometimes challenging environment of northern Wisconsin.
While the following map depicts our general service area in the State of Wisconsin, we are willing to travel anywhere on a contract basis for the right project!
