What is the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors?

The Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors (WSLS) is a statewide organization representing the majority of professional land surveyors licensed to practice in Wisconsin. WSLS was founded in 1952 as a professional organization dedicated to the following objectives and goals:


The Latest in Northern Lakes News...

The folks at Oregon Public Broadcasting have produced a great segment that does an admirable job of explaining the fundamental function of the professional land surveyor in today's society. The same government survey described here took place during the civil war in northern Wisconsin. Take a few minutes and enjoy their video!

At the recent December 1 chapter meeting, Ben McMullen was elected chapter president and Devon Vanden Heuvel was elected vice-president.

The Northern Lakes Chapter was represented at the "GLO Recovery Workshop" held in the UP near the Porcupine Mountains last fall. The workshop, sponsored by the US Forest Service and Michigan DNR, provides surveying students at Michigan Tech the opportunity to recover the remains of ancient survey evidence. What follows is a brief video of the workshop.
